Job Title: Compliance Advisory Manager
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday (09:00-17:00)
Salary: dependent on experience and up to 20% bonus and benefits
Location: Flexible, we could support fully remote or hybrid working from any of our UK offices in London, Cardiff, Durham, Manchester, or Blackpool

The Team

The role is within the Compliance team and will require the role holder to support the Head of Compliance in creating and maintaining an environment in which senior management and the business is able to comply with UK regulatory requirements. 

The role holder will have demonstrable experience of compliance in a regulated environment, consultancy or at the regulator and be able to advise senior stakeholders on the regulations, specifically in relation to consumer credit or mortgages, and act as a champion of the compliance framework.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities:

  • Providing advice on regulation to the business.
  • Provide compliance sign-off of financial promotions, customer communications, and training materials.
  • Regulatory horizon scanning.
  • Develop a strong presence across the bank.
  • Support the Head of Compliance and Senior Compliance Advisory Manager with the Senior Managers and Certification Regime including governance forums and supporting approved Senior Managers and accountable executives.
  • Support proposition governance across the proposition lifecycle.  
  • Engage with the regulator as required by the Head of Compliance including co-ordinating responses to requests for information.  
  • Support development of clear and robust policies and training. 
  • Identifying, investigation and resolving compliance issues. 
  • Collating and analysing relevant MI to identify compliance risks and trends. 

What we're looking for:

  • Ability to work well under pressure, at pace and prioritise work. 
  • Demonstrable experience of advising senior stakeholders on FCA regulatory matters including FCA Handbook, Consumer Credit Act, Senior Managers & Certification Regime, and Consumer Duty.
  • Strong focus on consumer outcomes.
  • Excellent attention to detail. 
  • Strong communication skills, including the confidence to interact with and challenge senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Ability to appropriately challenge information and get to the heart of a matter. 
  • Experience working at a digital bank, fintech or similar would be an advantage.
