Volunteer Trustee

What will you be doing?

Horsham Matters is a Christian charity aiming to demonstrate love of our neighbour by relieving hardship through the provision of essential services (food, energy and household items) in order to make a positive, long-lasting impact on people's lives. Our charity is run by local staff and volunteers who care passionately about providing practical help and support to anyone in need, irrespective of their background or circumstances. We work proactively with local partners to develop sustainable solutions which improve wellbeing; everything we do is focused on meeting needs and improving lives in our community. We are looking for a Trustee with a commitment to champion the services of Horsham Matters, uphold our charitable objectives and demonstrate our Christian ethos and values, you will be a Christian and have a connection to Horsham. The board meet monthly for 2-3 hours per month in the evening with an additional strategy meeting once a year. This volunteer post is subject to a DBS check.

What are we looking for?

Although, we are not looking for specific experience it would be beneficial if you have experience in any of the following areas; this should not deter you from applying if you have other skills:

What difference will you make?

As a Trustee you will, together with the Board shape the strategic direction of Horsham Matters. Your contribution will support the charity to evolve in line with our Objects; developing our charitable activities and ensuring the continue impact of our work in the community. Dependent upon the time you are able to commit you may also be actively involved in our delivery, fundraising and campaigning.
