About us
At Arbor, we’re on a mission to transform the way schools work for the better.
You’ve probably seen the headlines. Heavy workloads, constant change, admin pressure on teachers and staff at every level… sometimes it feels like this is just part and parcel of school life today. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
At Arbor, we passionately believe that there’s a better way to work. And it starts by giving everyone the right tools and technology for the job. Over 3,000 schools and trusts use our products to work more collaboratively, free staff from busywork, and drive their schools forward.
Ultimately, we’re here to help make our schools and trusts stress a little less, and focus on what matters most - improving the lives of teachers and outcomes of students everywhere.
About the role
Our Partnership team is passionate about bringing new schools to Arbor in a consultative way and helping them solve problems of their current way of working. As the fastest-growing supplier in our market we’re looking for someone as ambitious as us to join our small sales development team and enjoy being part of our growth.
This is a fast paced, exciting inbound and outbound sales development role where you can make a real impact with our products and services. You’ll need to be naturally curious about what we do, our end users and how we can genuinely help schools save time with their data and administration tasks. By speaking to a variety of senior stakeholders, qualifying their needs and identifying solutions that Arbor can provide, you will then book and organise meetings with our Sales team.
You’ll also work hand in hand with our industry-leading marketing team on our busy campaigns and events schedule, so there’s lots to get stuck into. It’s a broad and exciting role, so if you’re naturally inquisitive, innovative and enjoy working in a fast paced environment - this could be the role for you!
About you
A real passion for selling solutions in a tech for good industry
An interest in our product, mission and story that will allow you to find solutions for potential prospects
Ability to present yourself as a representative of the fastest-growing company in our sector, known for it’s care, compassion and dedication to solving the challenges schools in England face
Excellent sales email writing skills and the ability to adopt our tone of voice and explain complicated things in plain English
Able to work in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining the highest standards of communication style and tone in emails, on the phone and internally
Time management, you’re able to judge where to spend your time when we’re oversubscribed with interest
What we offer
We believe in supporting you to grow professionally and giving you the freedom to choose how. If you tell us where you want to go, we have a dedicated training budget to help you get there!
One of our core values is to make an impact, so we give everyone 1 day off each year to volunteer with a charity of your choice.
We promote positive well being and as part of this you’ll have access to a choice of comprehensive 24/7 well being support services as well as internal Wellbeing Champions.
We support autonomy and flexibility, and depending on your role can offer flexible working.
We offer enhanced maternity pay to support new mothers during this exciting period of your life.
Spending quality time together is really important, so to encourage this, our social committees organise regular team nights out (we’ve had pizza making and curry clubs!)
We offer 30 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays), part of which is made up of half day Fridays during the school summer holidays, a day off during Easter and a day off over Christmas.
Our office is based in the heart of Leeds. It’s lively and vibrant, and you’ll have breakfast supplied every day along with other healthy snacks you can choose from.
The safety and wellbeing of all Arbor employees is our number one priority. Therefore this role will be home based for the foreseeable future during the COVID-19 outbreak and will subsequently be based at our Leeds City Centre or West London office once it is safe to return to an office environment. We will visit customers when schools are adapted to their new ways of working and are ready to welcome us.
